On April 25, the project team from Vilnius Car Mechanics and Business School arranged a round table meeting with representatives of business companies that are still not involved in work based learning (WBL).
The principle of the school Elena Pelakauskiene presented the TTT4WBL project and its activities, especially the tandem training approach that was successfully implemented in trainings of WBL tutors from companies and VET institutions. The lead trainers of TTT4WBL project Rimvydas Vaštakas and Mantas Smolnikovas moderated the discussion on work based learning as one of the possibilities for cooperation between VET institutions and business companies. Participants of the discussion were extremely interested in the legal aspects of the cooperation and its benefits to VET institutions and business companies. They expressed an interest to participate in the future tandem trainings in case they will be organized additionally. Participants shared the opinion that the roundtable discussion was very informative and useful. As the WBL in Lithuania is still in development, the project team from Vilnius Car Mechanics and Business School plans to continue raising awareness of businesses about WBL by organising more discussions in autumn.
