During the meeting with the Minister Algirdas Monkevičius the project partners from the Kaunas Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Crafts (Kaunas CCIC) – the general director Olga Grigiene and Head of Education and Science department Aušra Misonė discussed the situation in VET: optimization of VET schools, companies’ needs of labour force and apprenticeship possibilities in Lithuania.
The TTT4WBL project and its potential to influence VET policy was presented to the minister. He was surprised by the amount of trained tutors and expressed interest in Chambers activities regarding apprenticeship. The tandem training approach and TTT4WBL project impact to the new law of apprenticeship were outlined in detail.
During the meeting it was agreed that Chamber’s comments on the new law draft will be taken into account. The Apprenticeship law is expected by the end of June.
