On January 29th, the project team of the Vilnius Car Mechanics and Business School organized a discussion for representatives of business companies that are not involved in work based learning (WBL). The discussion was opened by a presentation on the activities, results and outputs of the TTT4WBL project. Continuing the topic, a representative from the Ministry of Education, Science and Sport Jolanta Zabietienė gave a presentation on the legislation regulating apprenticeship in Lithuania and answered the numerous questions from discussion participants.
Then the floor was given to Giedrė Gervienė, the representative of the European Union Support Coordination Department at the Ministry of Education, Science and Sport. She presented the funding possibilities for VET providers and business companies and how they can apply for the funding allocated for WBL in Lithuania.
The discussion was followed by a workshop lead by the project lead trainers Aušra Misonė and Mantas Smolnikovas, who shared the best practices of WBL implementation in Lithuania and developed the topic involving everyone in active participation with the help of methods used in tandem trainings of the TTT4WBL project.
In the end the participants concluded that the discussion was informative and very useful. They had received new information about WBL, raised questions and some companies got interested in cooperation with VET providers and implementing WBL together.
